Meet the AUXILIARY board
Andrew nguyen- Senior class president
What’s up guys, my name is Andrew Nguyen and I’m the senior class president! As such I’m in charge of planning the semi-formal dance at the Sweetgrass Event Center in February, which is personally my favorite student council event. We have karaoke and shagging planned, and DJ Live is booked, so make sure to come out for a good time! This year I’m planning on designing and selling T shirts for the senior class which will raise money for our class gift. I will present this gift during graduation in June, and I’m excited to give a speech. I’m also the president of the Ping Pong Club and the manager of the Boys Varsity Tennis team. Another one of my main responsibilities is communicating with my class through Remind (text @wandohs19 to 81010) and email ([email protected]), so if you ever need me, just reach out!
Carly Stoy - Junior class president
Hey Wando! I’m Carly Stoy, your Junior Class President. This year I, along with my Vice President, Courtney Condon, hope to lead the Junior Class to success. As Junior Class President my main duty is to make sure the entire class is informed, aware, and involved in Wando’s amazing events. My Vice President and I, also oversee and plan the Homecoming dance, along with helping our fellow StuCo members with various other events. My favorite event is by far Spirit Week. I love getting dressed up completely crazy and catching everyone's eye as I walk through the halls of Wando that week. Additionally, I love WandoThon and how it can bring together so many people for such a great cause. Outside of being Junior Class President, I am involved in Wando Adventure Club, NHS, Beta Club, Student Council, AP Academy, and I absolutely love to travel. Wando is such an amazing school because of all the opportunities and variety in classes that the school offers, allowing everyone to find their path. Feel free to contact me anytime via email at [email protected] and all Juniors can keep updated through the class remind by texting @wandohs20 to 81010. Let's make this the best year yet!

Hello everyone! I am Caroline Lord your Sophomore Class Vice President for the 2018-2019 school year! My leadership position is in charge of a special class project, high school preview, and making sure the whole sophomore class is up to date on all events coming up. I have met so many great people in all different grades! My favorite thing about Wando is actually the size that it is. I get to meet someone new everyday and I find that so cool! If you need to get in touch with me for any reason, do not hesitate to send me an email @[email protected] !

As parliamentarian assistant, my main job is to assist the chair (Mary Cameron) in the election process, and submitting various projects for state and southern conferences. I joined student council because I have a passion for people and wanted a platform to make a difference. My favorite student council would have to be either homecoming or powder puff! I really enjoy these events because of the fun environment and how well organized they are. Outside of student council, I am a pre professional dancer, on the FCA leadership team, and a member of AP Academy. I am also in Wando Chorus, and sing in a student worship band for my church. Anna Misciagna - Spirit Assistant
Whats up Wando! My name is Anna Misciagna and I’m your Spirit Assistant this year! As the Spirit Assistant it’s my job to help the Spirit Chairs in whatever they need and to help with all the decorations around the Rotunda for the Spirit Weeks! I joined Student Council last year because it was my first year at Wando and I didn’t have many friends, and I wanted to make some! And luckily I made so many friends and decided to be even more involved and join the Leadership Board! Outside of StuCo, I’m on the Wando Swim Team, AP Academy and I have a super cute dog that I spend most of my free time with. My favorite event would have to be the Semiformal, it was so much fun to see everyone dressed up, dancing like crazy and having an amazing time! My favorite thing at Wando would have to be all the opportunities there are; this is only my second year and I’ve already done so many amazing things. If you ever need to contact me for anything, my email is [email protected]
Olivia ponessa - incentive assistant
I am a sophomore serving as your incentive assistant this year. My job in student council entails getting gifts for teachers each month and, my favorite, CLASS BIRTHDAYS! Part of getting teachers gifts is making sure the teacher like what we give them. It is super special to me because we are giving back to the people who help us year round and expect nothing in return. Last year I decided to join student council a general member and I fell in love with it so I decided to interview for a position to get even more involved and have a voice in school. My favorite part of Stuco (besides being a part of a second family) is definitely semi- formal! It is so fun to attend but it is also fun to help decorate the center that it is held in. Participating by decorating gives you sense of pride when you attend the dance and see what amazing work you did! Besides being in this amazing organization I also do Wando cheer! Both student council and cheer work with me to make sure I can attend everything, so don’t think that if you are already doing another club then you can’t do student council. You just have to be aware of how much time you will be able to spend on each activity. Joining this amazing group of people has made my high school career so much better! If you have any questions about student council please, don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected]!
